Rent closed last night on Broadway...

My other love in life, aside from God, my husband, family, and photography (of course!) is the musical Rent. I'm kinda sad today because its not on Broadway anymore (final performance was September 7, 2008). Yes, there's the possibility of a revival, but you never know. I've seen it six times now, and none of the tour shows I saw were as great as the two times I saw it on Broadway (yes, two!). When was the last time, you ask? Last weekend!!!! Lee surprised me big time and took me to NYC to see Rent the week before it closed. Talk about meaning a lot to me...I got to meet all the major characters in the cast, one of the movie stars (Tracie Thoms, Joanne from the movie) and an original cast member--Gwen Stewart (my favorite...she's the one that sings the female solo in "Seasons of Love"...she hits the "big note"). We also got to hang out in Alphabet City where the movie was filmed (and the place in NYC the play was based on), found the Life Cafe (didn't have the camera there...we didn't know we were going to Alphabet City until we were on the way there...we met some friends), and did so many other things. Lee was even brave enough to walk into Tiffany's with me. I can't believe I got to go closing week...this trip meant so much to me, moreso than Lee will ever know. I admit it...I'm a diehard Renthead.

So anyway, the photography part. We really did enjoy documenting NYC and its citizens...enjoy:

Green-Dellinger wedding

I couldn't resist posting about Hayley and Nathan's wedding. They are good friends of mine and I really enjoyed the wedding. There were so many smiles and fun times today, that I could hardly stand not to post something tonight. You may remember Hayley and Nathan's engagement shoot that I posted a while back...if you thought they looked good there, check out Hayley's bridal portraits! I FINALLY got the sunset shot I've been wanting for a long time...it's stormy, moody, and dramatic. As for the wedding, I really did have a great time, and so did they. They are a lovely couple with smiles that go on for miles, and fun times that never end. Enjoy the photos:
